FRC Important Dates

Important Dates for FIRST Robotics Competition 

FRC TIMS Open

Date:  May 19, 2016

Time:  12:00 PM, Noon (Eastern Time)

TIMS (Team Information Management System) opens.

TIMS allows Teams to create a new or update an existing Team Profile. Main and Alternate Team Contacts will apply for Youth Protection Clearence (YPC) through TIMS.
Note:  these steps must be complete in order to register for a Team’s first event

1st District Event Registration Opens

Date: Thursday, September 22, 2016

Time: 12:00pm (noon) Eastern Time

All rookie and veteran teams that have completed the pre-registration process and have two (2) YPP screened coaches/mentors will be able to select their 1st District Event or
1st Regional Event for the 2017 FIRST Robotics Competition Season.

Kit and Kickoff Registration Opens

Date: Thursday, September 29, 2016

Time: 12:00pm (noon) Eastern Time

FIRST Robotics Competition teams can select a Local Kickoff location to pick up their Kickoff Kit and or enter number of attendees for the Kickoff broadcast.

2nd District Event Registration Opens

Date: Thursday, October 6, 2016

Time: 12:00pm (noon) Eastern Time

District rookie and veteran teams are able to select their 2nd District Event for the 2017 FIRST Robotics Competition Season.

Additional In-District Event Registration Opens

Date: November 3, 2016

Time: 12:00pm (noon) Eastern Time

District teams may register for an additional In-District event.

Additional In-District Event Registration will close on Monday, November 21, 2016.

Additional Inter-District Event Registration Opens

Date: November 10, 2016

Time: 12:00pm (noon) Eastern Time

District teams are eligible to register for any open spots in other Districts. The open spots are identified after all teams within a District have had the opportunity to sign up for two (2) events and any additional plays they may desire.

Additional Inter-District Event Registration will close on Monday, November 21, 2016.

Payment Due – 1st and 2nd District Event

Date: Monday, November 21, 2016

Time: 5:00pm Eastern Time

Payment is due to the FIRST Finance Department for all rookie and veteran teams registered for their 1st and 2nd District Event for the 2017 FIRST Robotics Competition Season.  Acceptable forms of payment are check (US funds only); Visa, Mastercard, or American Express credit card; Purchase Order; or commitment letter form Grantor or Sponsor.
