Registration and Payment
Congratulations to all teams advancing to the Georgia FIRST Tech Challenge State Championship! Once your advancement is officially recognized by the State Committee, your team will be sent an email providing registration and payment information. Instructions on what to do to complete the registration process will be provided in the packet.
Shipping Robots To and From the State Championship
Shipping services will not be provided. Teams are responsible for the safe transport of their robots to and from the event.
For the first time ever, the Georgia FIRST Tech Challenge State Championship is a two-day event! For teams who will be travelling far enough, make sure to find a place to stay Friday night. A variety of hotels are available just off of GA400 at Holcomb Bridge Rd (Exit 7) and Mansell Rd (Exit 8).
Load-In, Check-In, & Pits Open
Teams will be allowed to check-in and load-in their robots and pit equipment starting at 3:00 PM, Friday, February 22. Details concerning the actual load-in procedure will be provided to advancing teams as the event approaches. Robot work may only commence once you have checked in with the robot inspection team.
Overnight trailer parking will be available at the venue. Be sure to securely lock your trailers as Georgia FIRST will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
Pits are 10 feet wide and 10 feet deep, and will have access to a single 120V 10A AC power source. A 6-8 foot table will be provided. Teams should consider bringing a power strip for distributing power in their pit as necessary. No part of a team’s pit will be allowed to exceed 10 feet in height.
Inspections and Judging Sessions
Robot inspections and judging sessions will commence approximately 1-2 hours after the pits open. Time slots for judging activities will be officially assigned and posted on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. All Judging and Inspections shall be completed Friday afternoon and early evening.
For teams not advancing to the Semi-finals on Saturday, team load-out can commence immediately following Alliance Selections. Details concerning the actual load-out procedure will be provided to advancing teams as the event approaches.
