GeorgiaFIRST Robotics is pleased to host the Peachtree District Championship Event at the amazing Hawkins Arena at Mercer University.  This exciting location is made possible by dedicated partners, sponsors and volunteers who give their time, talent and resources to FIRST.  We invite you to join us on Thursday, April 9th, Friday, April 10th and Saturday, April 11th as FIRST Robotics Competition teams from the Peachtree District enter the field to test their engineering marvels one more time!  The top 45 teams from the Peachtree District will receive an invitation to compete to determine the best in the District.  Who will walk away with the top awards at the Peachtree District Championship and go on to represent our District at the FIRST World Championship in Houston?  Join us to see!

This event is free and open to the public.  

TEAMS: Note that Wednesday Night (4/8) is Load-In Only.

Wednesday night is a “drop-and-go” situation. You will drop off your robot and pit materials and come back in the morning on Thursday to unpack and start working on your robot.

Parking Information

Parking for this Event is FREE for all teams, visitors and volunteers.

NOTE: Parking will be strictly enforced, and all vehicles improperly parked will be towed at owner’s expense.

Drop and Go

Load-In Map for 2026 DCMP

Team Representatives can Load-In all equipment, robot, etc., (drop and go only). Six team member limit: 1 adult + 5 remaining Representatives (can be students or adults)

Note: You may not start assembling your pit or working on your robot until pits open on Thursday morning.

Thursday (April 9th): 8:00am

No limitations for team members. Load-in all equipment, robot, etc. and begin pit set-up.

Load-Out Instructions for: Saturday (April 11th):

Load-out will not begin until 2:00pm (AFTER LUNCH) on Saturday, no exceptions.

You must have all of your equipment, including your robot, staged in the designated load-out area just inside the entrance door before your vehicle/bus/trailer can be positioned to load. We will have load-out volunteers in place to assist you with this and to answer any questions you may have.


Concessions & Food Options (now open)

OUTSIDE FOOD IS PERMITTED IN THIS VENUE.

PRE-ORDER LUNCHES AND ON-SITE FOOD OPTIONS:

Hawkins Arena also offers participants the opportunity to purchase food at the student center food court, as well as Pre-Order Lunches.

NOTE: For EVERY Event, there is NO GRILLING or cooking of food allowed anywhere on the premises at any time. This includes the Parking Lot. If you have your heart set on this idea, please find another off-site location that allows grilling/cooking, like a local park or other approved area.


DCMP Team Social! (now open)

You Must RVSP/Register for this event in advance - RSVP DEADLINE is 5:00pm Monday, April 6th.

GeorgiaFIRST Robotics will host a Team Social on Thursday, April 9th from 7:00-9:00pm at Penfield Hall & Cruz Plaza (directly behind Hawkins Arena)

The Team Social is FREE* to attend. We will have music, games, plenty of time to socialize, and oh, GREAT food!

*If you want to eat/get a wristband, the cost is $10 per person, and all meals will be served with several gluten-free and vegetarian sides, chips and drink.See Registration form for Menu and payment options. Note that onsite payment at Pit Admin via cash or check is also available.

Space is Limited!

If you will be eating at the Team Social, You Must RVSP (and pay if possible) for this event in advance.
We need a headcount regardless, so please RSVP even if you won’t be eating with us.

GeorgiaFIRST Girls Event (now open)

GeorgiaFIRST Robotics will host the Girls FIRST STEM Career Journeys Networking Event on Thursday, April 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Penfield Hall.

This signature event is designed to provide girls on FIRST teams with direct access to accomplished women leaders across STEM industries. Participants will engage in meaningful conversations with professionals who will share insights into their current roles, organizations, and personal career pathways.

Speakers will also highlight STEM-related opportunities within their companies and offer guidance on the skills, experiences, and educational pathways that support success in these fields. This interaction is intended to help students better understand potential career options and how to strategically prepare for them throughout high school and college.

The event offers a valuable networking experience and is complimentary for all attendees.

Space is limited. To ensure broader participation across teams, we kindly ask that registration be prioritized for 4–5 students per team who have not previously attended this event.

Given that this event has reached capacity quickly in prior years, early registration is strongly encouraged.

Miscellaneous

The Road to Worlds: For Coaches, Mentors and anyone in charge of team logistics: Do you think that your team has a chance of going to Worlds? Come learn about what it takes to successfully get your robot, your pit, and your team to Houston on Thursday, April 9, 10:00 am - 11:30 AM in the Volunteer Room (upper level of the venue)

Please bring your Safety Captain buttons from Qualifiers with you. Big FIRST will not be providing an extra set for this event.

Printed copies of your rosters from Big FIRST will be needed again, just like Qualifiers. Please reach out for help if needed.
