IMPORTANT NOTE FOR TEAMS ATTENDING STATESBORO

Like several of our previous events, the rigors of our FRC competition will require floor protection for the venue.

GeorgiaFIRST will make sure the floor under the field is fully protected.  However, we need help from our teams to ensure the pit area is protected as well.

Each team will be required to bring a 10’ x 10’ floor protection to lay down in their pit area. This can be in the form of foam tiles, carpet, carpet pad or simulated wood. This cannot be a tarp, plastic or any other thin material. The purpose is to protect the floor from drop damage and to minimize debris on the floor at the end of the event.

Teams might consider asking other nearby FRC or FTC teams if they have any material that they can loan to you (like the FTC field tiles).

Unfortunately, GeorgiaFIRST does not have any floor covering to lend to teams.

Please reach out with questions, and let us know as soon as possible if you are not able to procure floor protection.
