GeorgiaFIRST Robotics and FIRST in South Carolina are pleased to host the Peachtree District Championship Event at the amazing Hawkins Arena at Mercer University.  This exciting location is made possible by dedicated partners, sponsors and volunteers who give their time, talent and resources to FIRST.  We invite you to join us on Friday, April 5th and Saturday, April 6th as FIRST Robotics Competition teams from the Peachtree District enter the field to see test their engineering marvels one more time!  The top fifty teams from the Peachtree District will receive an invitation to compete against the best in the district.  Who will walk away with the top awards at the Peachtree District Championship and go on to represent our district in Houston?  Join us to see!

This event is free and open to the public.  

TEAMS: Note that Wednesday Night is Load-In Only.

Wednesday night is a “drop-and-go” situation. You will drop off your robot and pit materials and come back in the morning on Thursday to unpack and start working on your robot.

Load In/Out Instructions for Teams

Please fill out the Load-In Form at https://forms.gle/kTEprF5gcJ62j14h7 by NOON, on Monday, April 1st.

Load-In Instructions for: Wednesday (April 3rd): 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Team Representatives can Load-In (drop and go only) Five team member limit: 1 adult + 4 remaining Representatives (can be students or adults)

Note: You may not start assembling your pit or working on your robot until pits open on Thursday morning.

Load-In Instructions for: Thursday (April 4th): 8:00am

No limitations for teams members.  Teams to load-in all equipment, robot, etc. and begin pit set-up.

 Load-Out Instructions for: Saturday (April 6th):

Teams may begin to load out after lunch (see event schedule) on Saturday. The official load-out will begin at the conclusion Awards Ceremony.

OUTSIDE FOOD IS PERMITTED IN THIS VENUE.

PRE-ORDER LUNCHES AND ON-SITE FOOD OPTIONS:

Hawkins Arena also offers participants the opportunity to purchase food at the student center food court, as well as Pre-Order Lunches. See Flier with all available options and Order Form HERE.

PRE-ORDER FOOD IS NOW CLOSED, BUT DAY-OF ONSITE OPTIONS AND BRING YOUR OWN FOOD ARE STILL AVAILABLE.


Team Social!

FOOD ORDERS ARE NOW CLOSED, but please register to attend this fun event for games, music and fun!

Team Social - You Must Register for this event in advance - DEADLINE is 5:00pm Wednesday, April 3.

GeorgiaFIRST Robotics and FIRST in South Carolina will host a Team Social on Thursday, April 4th from 7:00-9:00pm.  Space is Limited!

The Team Social is FREE to attend. 

Mercer University will have a DJ playing music, lawn games, plenty of time to socialize

EVENT IS SOLD OUT FOR 2024

Seats are limited (this event sold out last year!)

GeorgiaFIRST Robotics will host a Girls FIRST Event on Thursday April 4th from 10:00-12:00am.  This one-of-a-kind event is designed to give girls on our FIRST teams a chance to speak with successful women in the STEM industry and find out what it takes to work in their field.  A great learning opportunity!

Please bring your Drive Team buttons from Qualifiers with you. Big FIRST will not be providing an extra set for this event.

Printed copies of your rosters from Big FIRST and PCH District Consent & Release forms will be needed again, just like Qualifiers. Please reach out for help if needed.
